A Meissen clock-case moulded with rocks and scrolls enriched in pink, turquoise and gilt, the base applied with three figures of huntsmen wearing tricorn hats, green frockcoats and high boots, at their feet a boar, stag, hares and pheasants, beside them a seated hound, the sides applied with birds and squirrels among oak leaves, surmounted by a figure of Diana with attendant hounds, supported on five scroll feet, painted in colours and gilt (one arm broken and restuck, some chips and overpainting, minor damages and firing faults), the movement a Continental anchor escapement with enamel dial, metal mounts, blue crossed swords mark, late 19th Century -- 28in. high
