An ormolu twin light candelabra, the twin acanthine scrolling branches supporting cylindrical nozzles cast with beaded swags, issuing from a sphinx and flanking a cold-painted leafy sprig, applied with porcelain flowerheads, later mounted on an ebony and tortoiseshell veneered stepped plinth, Austrian or German, late 18th century -- 19in. (48.3cm.) high.
