A late Victorian black marble garniture with foliate pietre dure inlay, comprising: a mantel clock of serpentine form, with silvered dial inscribed Solomon/Torquay, with French eight-day strike on bell movement, on a moulded and stepped plinth base, decorated with floral inlay of malachite, carrara and verde antico marble -- 12½in. (32cm) high; and an aneroid barometer, similarly inscribed in an identical case; a pair of similarly decorated obelisks, on stepped bases; and an arch-shaped thermometer (the gauge missing). (5)
