Volumes 9 and 10 of an edition on vellum of the complete works of Dickens which comprised 112 volumes of text and 18 volumes of illustrations. It was edited by Frederic G. Kitton. The limitation leaf states: "It is guaranteed to subscribers that only eight copies of this edition will be made for sale in America, and seven copies for sale in Europe, and that no future Illuminated Edition of Dickens will be issued by us."
