A Second Empire ormolu and porcelain-mounted striking mantel clock, the massive foliate cast case set with Sèvres-style panels to the front and sides, the top surmounted by two putti playing with garlands of flowers with central ram's head above the white enamel Roman dial (lacking minute hand), the twin going barrel movement with strike on bell, backplate with stamp for Vincenti; on a velvet-lined gilt-wood plinth -- 16in. (40.5cm.) high, 26½in. (67.5cm.) wide.
