A Victorian gilt-brass chiming giant four-glass mantel clock, the moulded plinth with Corinthian column pilasters supporting a stepped top, the silvered and foliate engraved Roman dial signed James McCabe Royal Exchange London and numbered 2740, with subsidiary dials above for day of the week and date flanking a strike/silent lever, the six pillar triple chain fusee movement with plain balance to large gilt platform, chiming on eight bells via eight hammers with hour strike on gong -- 18¾in.(47.5cm.) high.
