A Chinese Imari armorial helmet shaped ewer on high spreading foot with scroll handle and moulded mask spout, painted and gilt with a central coat of arms and the motto 'Maintien le Droit' flanked by scattered sprays of chrysanthemums and peonies above a band of moulded leaves and within further moulded bands (damaged) -- 10in. high, circa 1729.
