Of tapering cylindrical form, the spreading foot engraved with a rosette border, the body further engraved with guilloche-bordered cartouches between floral swags and applied with a cast Neptune mask beneath the spout and with a female mask to the other side, the scroll handle terminating in shells, the hinged domed cover with shell and openwork thumbpiece and surmounted by a finial formed as a dolphin entwined around an anchor
