An exhibition standard 1in:1ft scale model of an Easton and Anderson single cylinder grasshopper beam engine as supplied to Winchester Gas Works circa 1897 and modelled by A. Mount. Measurements overall - 6½ x 9 7/8in. (16.5 x 25cm.)
With brass bound wood lagged cylinder 1in. bore x 1½in. stroke, radius links, double beam with barrelled connecting and pump rods, disc crank, inlet manifold with main stop and belt driven Tangye governor, linkage and valve, twin eccentrics and Meyer valve gear, spoked flywheel and belt pulley, finished in green and polished brightwork and mounted on a simulated stone bed.
