MANUSCRIPTS -- "Linages de la Conqiusta de Valencia y son Regne" [Chronicle of the Conquest of Valencia and its King], a 300 page manuscript on paper in Catalan, relating the exploits of Jaume the Conqueror, c. 1600, 2°, written on the lower half of the page with the upper half left blank (some staining, some obtrusive worming of margins), contemporary limp vellum (crinkled). Provenance: Hermann Suchier (library label) -- John the Baptist (Patron Saint of Florence). A manuscript on paper in Italian on John the Baptist, in a humanistic hand, 45 leaves, dated [page 15 (129) verso] [Florence] 1455, apparently after an original of 1532, possibly by Lorenzo de Medici (some leaves detached, end leaves repaired), modern boards; together with a manuscript copy of Battista Guarini's Il Pastor Fido, 174 leaves, in Italian, c. 1700, 4°, with added critical note and life of the author; and 4 other manuscripts in Italian, French, and Spanish.
