Four English delft plates
painted within bianco-sopra-bianco borders, comprising: a Bristol plate painted to the centre in colours with a chinoiserie scene of a figure before a pagoda -- 9in. (23cm.) diam., circa 1760 (minor chips and hairline cracks), and three others painted in blue and white in chinoiserie style including a Bristol plate painted with peonies and bamboo issuing from rockwork -- 10in. (25.5cm.), circa 1760 (minor chips, a Bristol plate painted with a figure before buildings in a landscape and a Lambeth plate painted with peonies and bamboo within a brown-line rim, circa 1750-80
