An ivory Wilson-pattern screw-barrel microscope, signed around the objective mount E. Scarlett Soho London, with screw-mounted handle (threads stripped), six objectives (four with caps), objective holder with engraved decoration, brass carrier with black/white dot and forceps (prongs lacking), brass slider with three (of four) lenses, brass slide, four ivory sliders numbered 1-4 in a fishskin-covered card case, talc box, brass tweezers signed E S, wire trough cleaner and an ivory flea glass with lens, spike, live box and cap, all in a green plush-lined, fitted fishskin-covered case -- 6 7/8in.(17.5cm.)wide, circa 1720
