A terrestrial globe mounted as a clock, diameter 8 inches (203 mm), overall height 15½ inches (390 mm), the globe made up of 12 coloured lithographed gores, the British Empire marked in red, depicting the numerous cable routes across the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans (a few minor abrasions). The globe mounted on a central brass column with drawing mechanism at the south pole connected to the French movement in base, horizon bar graduated with the hours of the day and night, adjustable sun ball mounted on a brass arm extending in an arc from the south pole.
