A rare lacquered brass, steel and aluminium orrery, the motion arranged with driving wheels, pulleys and cords with tension regulators, the model of the earth represented by a Philips 4 inch terrestrial globe, the sweep of the earth in its rotation around the sun-ball describing a 36 inch diameter circle, the earth movement supported on a bar with lead counterweight, and tension bars and cords, to a central tripod stand with sun-ball and pulley system. With original 4 page illustrated leaflet, hand-written instruction label, and letter by William Wilson on how to fit the instrument in the carrying case, original pine carrying case (model incomplete but restorable).
