[CORONELLI,V.M.] Celestial Globe, dated 1693 [but late 19th century].
A celestial table globe, diameter 19½ inches (49cm), overall height 27 inches (69cm), the globe made up of two sets of 12 gores and 2 polar calottes, printed in blue and sepia laid over a composite wood sphere, elaborate constellation figures, lightly varnished, the globe mounted horizontally on a brass stand, the brass meridian ring supported by four bands to a central column, carried by four downswept legs with padded feet.
