The father of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Charles Doyle was a talented illustrator. This series of three fantasy designs depicting the sprightly world of Doyle (1884-1885) are from a significant period for Doyle, when he entered his first asylum at Sunnyside, in 1885.
