The Scene depicted in this print is the 'Gothick' Orchestra in the Grove, outside the Rotunda in Vauxhall Gardens. In the centre box Mrs Weischell is singing to the crowd which is headed by George, Prince of Wales, who is accompanied by 'Perdita' Robinson and her suspicious husband. Also visible is Capt. Topham regarding The Duchess of Devonshire and her sister. In the box on the left are Dr. Johnson, Oliver Goldsmith, Boswell and Mrs Thrale among others.
