A Dutch 19th Century wirework swing-handled bread basket
in the 18th Century taste, on a rising reeded foot and with a reeded rim, the centre engraved with a frieze of stylised foliage, the handle applied with two vacant shield-shaped cartouches and with a central part-fluted oval mount, each also engraved with a narrow foliate border, Jan Van Vianen, Utrecht circa 1810 - 11½in. (29cm.), 14.25oz.
