of part-fluted tapering oval form, the teapot with part-fluted rising curved spout, ebonised wood bracket handle and part-fluted domed hinged cover with fluted oval wood finial, one side of the teapot engraved:"Presented to E.T. Atkinson Esq. by the Guardians of the Richmond Union, Yorkshire. On his retiring from the office of Medical Officer after 39 years service. December 1882", London 1882 - height of teapot 4¼in.
