each with an anthemion and scroll decorated curved bar top-rail and tablet splat, with the garter badge, with a caned seat, on ring-turned tapering legs, stamped Gee

John Gee, chair maker and turner, 1779-c.1824, of 49, Wardour Street, Soho, was listed in the London Directories from 1779 and by 1803 was referred to as "Chair Maker and Turner to His Majesty" (4)
