A walnut and feather-strung bureau cabinet
in three parts, the upper part with a moulded cornice fitted with pigeon holes, folio compartments and fourteen drawers about a concave centre with drawers enclosed by a pair of panelled doors, the lower part with a sloping fall enclosing a tooled leather-lined writing surface, well with slide and a graduated reciprocal undulating fitted interior, with drawers, pigeon holes, secret compartments and central enclosed cupboard, containing three frieze drawers with three long drawers below, on ogee bracket feet, some drawer linings in the upper section with scratched initials and signatures, restored, parts later and re-veneered, early 18th century
