A FRENCH GILT-METAL CLOCK GARNITURE

The clock movement striking on a coiled gong, with beadwork onlaid porcelain dial, inscribed Thos. Lancaster Whipp, Paris, decorated with a butterfly resting on a flowering branch, similarly decorated panels below and above and flanked by further similarly decorated columns to the front angles, the moulded cornice surmounted by a fruiting finial, the angles with similar finials, on moulded rectangular base and block feet, 13.1/2in. (34cm) high; and a pair of two-handled vases and covers en suite, 9.3/4in. (25cm) high, with giltwood plinths (3)
