arranged in six deal trays, each impression numbered and arranged according to index, with index, initialled and dated S.H. Rome 27 March 1824, in deal trays with Bleu Royale paper lining, Italian, early 19th century (6)

Lot Essay

The catalogue lists the corrseponding intaglios depicting works of art at the Capitoline Museum, the Vatican Museum, Monuments including those at the Villa Albani, the Museums of Florence, Naples and Paris, interpretations of modern pictures at the Museo Sommariva and from extant works by Canova and Thörvaldsen, taken from the collections of Bartolomeo Paoletti and Pietro Figlio.
