Wilhelmina Carolina of Ansbach (1683-1737) was Queen of Great Britain and Ireland. She married George II in 1705. Queen Caroline possessed a deep sympathy for science, literature and the arts. She busied herself with the gardens at Kensington Palace and it was she who discovered the Holbein drawings now at Windsor.
