of drum form and with a tapering angular spout, polished wood scroll handle and part-fluted domed hinged cover with fluted circular wood finial, decorated with two narrow beaded bands and bright-cut in the George III taste with scrolls and two shield-shaped cartouches surrounded by vases of flowers and scrolling foliage, one with later presentation inscription dated 1888, Messrs. Barnard, London 1876 - 5½in. (14cm.), 19oz. gross.
