A Victorian silver-gilt-mounted ebonised wood freedom casket
of cylindrical form and on a shaped oblong base applied with a foliate and bead mount, the casket supported by four heraldic beasts, each holding a shield, one engraved with an armorial, the other with various inscriptions, each end applied with an armorial with motto and crown, the cover with foliate-decorated strapwork hinges and two vacant shaped oblong cartouches, later-lined in cedar to convert to a cigarette box, Stephen Smith, London 1877 - 16in. (41cm.) overall.
