the cover decorated with a Classical female figure attended by putti between gilt and silvered insects and diaper panels among scrolls issuing leaves and flowers, the base with a similar band, the interior of the cover painted in colours with a loose spray of flowers, the base gilt with leaves and scrolls, blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummern -- 6¼in. (16cm.) diam., circa 1900 (slight wear)
