A Victorian rosewood travelling dressing case
lined in tooled red leather and red plush and containing eight silver-topped glass toilet jars and bottles, the lids bright-cut with flowers and scrolling foliage and with vacant circular cartouches, with a variety of other fittings including two pairs of scissors, three bodkins and a pair of tweezers, the dressing case with vacant mother-of-pearl cartouche and mother-of-pearl escutcheon and with a concealed jewellery tray lined in red satin, the toilet jar lids with maker's initials T.W., London 1857 - length of dressing case 12in.
