A Victorian four-piece tea service
of tapering circular form, each chased with the signs of the zodiac in the Indian manner and with friezes of foliage, the teapot and hot water jug with ebonised wood bracket handles and reeded flat hinged covers with turned wood finials, maker's initials S.& I., Birmingham 1890, the hot water jug lid apparently unmarked - height of hot water jug 9¼in. (23.50cm.), 61.75oz. gross.
