of drum shape, with tapering angular spout, polished wood scroll handle with shell terminals, and flat hinged cover with tapering circular finial, the body bright-cut with drapery swags, a narrow frieze of foliage and a vacant rococo bow and foliate cartouche, Hoyland, Young, Smith & Middleton, Sheffield 1775, the mark on the base overstruck with initials P.R., probably a London maker or retailer - 4½in.
