A Regency and George IV composite four-piece tea and coffee service
of compressed moulded circular form, each on a fluted rising circular base and with a gadroon and foliate everted rim and foliate-decorated scroll handles, the bodies decorated with fluting and stylised foliage and engraved with crests, the teapot and coffee pot with foliate-chased rising curved spouts and part-fluted domed hinged covers with stylised flower head finials, the milk jug and sugar basin gilt-lined, the teapot and milk jug Rebecca Emes & Edward Barnard, London 1821, the sugar basin with indistinct marks, the coffee pot Benjamin Smith, London 1820 - height of coffee pot 8in. (20.25cm.), 74oz.
