A detailed wood and metal static display model of the Royal Yacht 'Caroline' of 1749 built by D. Hartley -- 27¾ x 32in. (70.5 x 81.3cm.)
With bound masts, yards, standing and running rigging, figurehead, decorated hair rails, anchors with bound wooden stocks, catheads, belaying rails and pins, companionways, windlass, gratings, glazed deck houses, ship's boat and other details. The hull, with open gun ports, stern and quarter galleries with gilded decoration, is finished in white and varnish. Stand and carrying box
