A well detailed and presented 16ft:1in scale wood and metal waterline model of the iron four masted barque 'Falls of Halladale' of 1886 built from original plans and photographs by R.A.Wilson. Measurements overall -- 12 x 26½in (30.5 x 67.3cm)
With masts, yards, standing and running rigging and full suit of sails set in a starboard reach, figurehead, deck rails, companionways, capstans, belaying rails, hatches, deck winches, deck lights, ship's wheel and binnacle, two ship's boats in chocks with bottom boards, thwarts and oars and three stowed and much other fine detailing. The hull, with simulated plating is finished in grey, white and black with natural wood decks and mounted on a painted moulded seascape. Glazed case, historical data, fitted carrying box
