A finely detailed ½in:1ft scale wood and metal model of the Watson type pulling/sailing R.N.L.B.'Charles Deere James II' of circa 1909, built by R.Phillips --17 x 21½in (43.2 x 54.5cm)
With collapsible masts, standing and running rigging, stitched linen sails with reefing points, grab rails and ropes, samson posts, anchor, drain valves, bottom boards, thwarts, oars and rowlocks for five oarsman a side, tiller, rudder, rope coils and other details. The planked and framed hull is finished in R.N.L.I. livery and mounted on a launching trolley. Glazed case (one pane cracked).
