A Chinese red lacquer circular box and domed cover
carved to the top with a central panel of a coiled full-faced dragon among clouds and a flaming pearl within a key-pattern border and wide band of further dragons chasing flaming pearls, the base similarly carved, all on a two-colour ground, the black lacquer interior decorated with flowersprigs -- 11.in (27.9cm) diam, (old wear).
