A Japanese brown nashiji ground lacquer rectangular cabinet
with foliate bronze mounts, inlaid in brass, tortoiseshell and shagreen with panels of a coiled dragon chasing a flaming pearl above a tiger among pine and bamboo issuing from rockwork, the doors and sides decorated with ho-o among clouds and scrolling foliage, the two doors opening to reveal seven drawers decorated with kiku-heads and yin-yan symbols surrounded by trigrams, on a separate stand -- 26½.in (67.3cm) high, (small areas of inlay missing, old wear).
