A Queen Anne porringer
of tapering circular form and with two partly-beaded scroll handles, the body chased with a band of spiral flutes and a narrow rope-twist frieze, engraved with an armorial within a scroll, foliate and scalework cartouche, the underside scratch-engraved with initials, maker's mark indistinct, London 1705, Britannia Standard - 4¼in. (11cm.), 11oz.
