Born in Brussels. Anto received training in his early years from his father Mariano Diez Y Sanchez who in 1906 received the Rome Prize for Art whilst attending the Academy in Madrid. In 1955 Anto received the Thorlet Prize from the French Academy, Paris. He continued painting and settled in Bredene, Belgium.
