A painted wooden dolls' house with central section of three bays and four stories, flanked by wings of two stories, each with two rooms, the left section formed as a glazed conservatory with grape-house above, the right with three side windows and kitchen door, opening in three sections to reveal three central rooms, two side rooms, interior glass doors to the greenhouses, original wallpapers, chimney breasts, Marklin fireplaces, gilt framed overmantle mirrors, and hand-worked carpets - 61in. 155cm. high, 41½in. 105cm. wide and 19¼in. 49cm. deep (exterior overpainted at an early date)

Lot Essay
Made for Lillian Mary Gordon in 1870 for her third birthday. The carpets were worked by her mother, grandmother and aunt and are signed on the undersides.
