Lot Essay

These three bears and the following six lot are more frequently referred to as 'Soldier' bears. They were produced during the 1st World-War and given as good-luck bears to soldiers by their sweet-hearts, friends, family or given to sweethearts by the soldiers. The war influenced many bears being produced in the patriotic colours of red, white and blue.
