each with a plain tapering circular body engraved with a crest, the former with ebonised wood scroll handle and flat detachable cover engraved with the same crest and with baluster finial, the latter with polished wood scroll handle and matching cover, the former Alfred James How, London 1898, the latter bearing maker's initials only, possibly French - 6¼in. (16cm.) and 6¾in. (17.25cm.), weight of Victorian example 16.75oz. gross. (2)
