Lot Essay

Oswald Mosley, son of Nicholas Mosley and Jane (daughter of John Lever of Alkrington), married Mary (daughter of William Yates of Stanley House, Co. Lancaster) and died in 1726 leaving a son and heir: Sir Oswald, 1st Bt. of Rolleston. He was created a baronet on 18 June 1720 and married Elizabeth, daughter of John Thornhaugh, of Fenton, Co. Stafford and died 9 June 1751 leaving issue. Sir Oswald, 2nd Bt., died unmarried 26 February 1757
