Lot Essay

The 1962 Columbia film Lawrence Of Arabia received four Academy Awards including one for best picture, and three Academy Awards nominations including one for Peter O'Toole as major T.E.Lawrence.

The boots in this lot are most notably obvious in the scene where Lawrence strides victoriously along the roof of a Turkish train he has ambushed with his army of desert arabs.
