ERIC CALDOW Eric Caldow was born on 14th May 1934 and was picked-up by the Ibrox club at the tender age of 14. Rangers farmed him out to Muirkirk Juniors before joining them in 1952. He played his first game for Rangers the following year and from then until 1963 he was almost an ever-present for his club. He played his first International match for Scotland in April 1957, becoming captain of the national side in 1960 and he missed just the two International matches up until his broken leg suffered in the game against England in 1963. There is no doubt his total of 40 appearances for Scotland at full International level would have been greater if he had not sustained the injury against England in a match which Scotland subsequently won. He played over 400 times for Rangers, scoring 25 goals and in April 1966 he left Ibrox after 14 years service joining Stirling Albion. Thereafter there were brief managerial posts with Corby Town and Stranraer. The following nineteen lots were awarded to ERIC CALDOW (See also lots 116-119 and 131-132)
