Leicester City won the Division 2 Champsionship this season with 59 points, Manchester United being runners-up on 57 points.

Born near St. Helens in April 1895 Bamber joined Liverpool in December 1915. In 1924 he joined Leicester City and won his only major club honour with them the following season when they won the Division 2 Championship. Capped just the once for England at full International level, he appeared twice for the Football League (see following lot) and was part of the F.A. Tour Party of South Africa in 1920.
