The three upper prints of the hexaptich Odori keiyo gakuya no zu (View of the Dressing Rooms of a Newly Constructed Theater), each signed Toyokuni ga and published by Kansendo (Izumiya Ichibei) in 1856 - good impressions and colour, pasted down on paper at the top corners in the wrong sequence, very slight creasing and rubbing near the corners

This print is likely to have been commissioned for the re-opening of the Ichimura theater in 1856, a year after the Ansei earthquake had destroyed the theater district in Edo.
