An Arita enamelled saucer dish
Edo Period (Circa 1655)
Decorated in iron-red, green, yellow, aubergine and black enamels with butterflies hovering near a branch of cherry blossoms, the reverse with a continuous band in underglaze blue of floral scrollwork, the base with an iron-red Fuku mark within a double square, rim crack and repair
20.5 cm. diam.
