A Longquan celadon-glazed shallow tripod bulb bowl and a Sawankhalok dish
Ming Dynasty
The bowl with rounded body moulded and incised on the exterior with the Eight Trigrams between circular scrolls at the rim and base, the inside unglazed at the centre, supported on three lion-mask feet, filled in firing crack at the base, 36.7 cm. diam; and a dish carved to the interior with a roundel containing a lotus-head, surrounded by various multi-line borders and a meander of feathery foliage below the everted barbed rim, frits to the glaze at the interior, 33 cm. diam.
