With central rectangular D[is] M[anibus] (to the shades of the deceased) dedicatory Latin inscription of eight lines, flanked by borders of scrolling acanthus leaves, on the sides are sacrificial vessels in relief, a patera (dish) on one side, an urceus (jug) on the other, the gabled lid with leafy volutes terminating in rosettes at the front, the pediment decorated in relief with two birds pecking a worm, lichen encrustation
