In the form of a seated sphinx with outspread wings, wearing diadem, her hair falling in tresses to the shoulders, white gesso with remains of red and pink pigment, high arching strap handle, with applied roundels at join of handle to trefoil lip, handle and one wing repaired, the other wing restored
